Background
Cherrylips Designs, commonly known as "CDNY", is a New York fashion house founded by designer and artist Jasmine Jamison.
In Summer 2007 Jasmine created a t-shirt line called Cherrylips Express in hopes of getting into the fashion industry that she designed and prepared for since she was a child.
Prior to starting the label she was a high school graduate working as a freelance graphic artist and personal assistant.
Later that year she changed the brand name to something more fitting: Cherrylips Designs, with an aim to create classic, timeless designs.
At first Cherrylips Designs had no objective; the main goal was to create the best products out on the market.
But after much pondering Jasmine realized that there were no real luxury brands for young people.
In addition, the brands that were popular were either owned by Europeans or designed by older people that were trying to tap into the young market.
Thus the concept for CDNY was born: A luxury label designed for young women and by young women; not to mention the brand was born in New York and designed by an American.
Half of our design inspiration comes from what we want to have in our closets and the other half comes from the back of our psyche.
Our love of detail, originality, exotic fabrics, fur, jewels, diamonds and color influences us.
When you hear the name Cherrylips Designs and the term luxury brand together you may not take it seriously but CDNY is not to be taken lightly, we have just as much know-how as the rest.
Cherrylips Designs encourages education, creativity, research, quality, determination and infinite individuality. You only have one life to live so 'Get Your Cake and Eat it Too'.

"I love the name "Cherrylips Designs", the exclusive products you have and the prices you get. You have high quality products. I admire the fact that you donated money to Haiti." - Len Noel
"I love the shirts, Cherrylips Designs is so cool. Anybody cool would love this brand. I'll tell friends to check out your site." - Bunnie Benton
"The term “have your cake and eat it too” resonates strongly with me. I never understood why they said you can’t have your cake AND eat it too. If I can’t eat it, then what’s the point of having it?? The sentiment was clearly appreciated. I got lots of compliments on the tee!" - Cocoa Bella
